As legal luminaries and members of the Nigerian Bar Association, (NBA), converge in the Commercial City of Lagos for it 2024 Annual General Conference, the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III (CFR), and the Director General of World Trade Organization, Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala have slated grace the gathering of legal eggs.
The revered first class Royal Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, who is the Speaker is expected to be on the Traditional Rulers roundtable session with the topic’: Proposal for Integrating Traditional with the Contemporary in Justice”
According to information posted on the NBA website, Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, (GCON), is the keynote speaker. Iweala, an economist served as Nigeria first female and longest serving Finance Minister for seven years and was also the first female foreign minister.
The 2024 Conference has a theme: ” Pressing Forward , ” A National Posture for Rebuilding Nigeria”, hold between 23th and 28th August, 2024. will play equally play host to other notable personalities among others.
The President of NBA, Yakubu Maikyau (SAN), said will expand conversation and interconnectivity of various factors influencing Nigeria progress beyond a typical legal conference.
He said, “The second, the last and the current administration of our esteem association, which am privileged to lead as president . Last year, the theme of the conference was ‘Getting it right: Charting the course for Nigeria’s nation building from the perspective of security, economy, and the administration of Justice “.He noted.
