All appears set for the maiden edition of the Megastar Man of the Decade Awards, (MMTDA) as some of the honorees nominated for recognition includes, President Paul Kagame, Governor of Nasarawa, His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Sule, business mogul and Industrialist, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Late Captain Hosa Okunbo, Chief Mike Adenuga, Sen. Ned Nwoko, Chief Dele Momodu, and Music star, Teni Makanaki for their outstanding achievement and contributions to the nation.
According to the founder, Megastar Man of the Decade Award, Mr Adeniyi Ifetayo, the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, will be the Special Guest of honour in the much-publicized event scheduled to hold on the 1st December, 2024 at the 5-star luxurious Wells Carlton Hotel & Apartment, Asokoro Abuja.
The award is recognizing and celebrating Captains of Industries, Entrepreneurs, and those who have remained consistent in-service delivery and inspiring the younger generation in the last ten years.
Speaking on Arise TV, Ifetayo stated that beyond the awards ceremony Megastar Foundation has also intervened in the area of supporting conducive learning environments when Megastar foundation team embarked on Corporate Social Responsibility, (CSR) when it visited some public schools within the Federal Capital Territory.
He stated, “According to an American President, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”. So, for us at Megastar foundation is to ensure that no child is left behind in the areas of Health, Education and sports. It is on this basis that the foundation intervened. Even when we thought that we had won the war against cholera, we were shocked that a school we visited with a population of over 2, 000 shared four toilets.
“So, we are reaching out to some wealthy Nigerians to support us through our foundation and am glad to state that some have been very supportive in making sure we give a befitting toilet before there will be an outbreak.
Also, in the area of education, we noticed that pupils share a bench that was meant for two children and we are also intervening as well. We also paid for the training of some lady mechanics and very soon they will be graduating, ours is to empower people regardless where they come from including widows.
“Since we have the platform, we are reaching out to those who have been supportive especially Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri, Barrister Clifford who equally supported us. What we are focusing on is that no child should be left behind and all that. For us is to give back to society and make Nigeria a better place for all”. Ifetayo added.
