The member representing Edo South State Secondary Education Board, Princess Charity Osifo said the Edo Election Petition Tribunal which affirmed Governor Monday Okpebholo’s victory was well deserved.
Osifo while reacting to the Tribunal judgement noted that victory didn’t not come to her as a surprise as the majority of Edo people spoke loud with their votes in the September, 21st 2024 Governorship election by voting massively for Governor Monday Okpebholo and his Deputy Rt.Hon. Dennis Idahosa.
The Edo South politician said the people are now relief of the distraction posed as the governor is more than ever determined to continue with his people’s oriented and impactful projects across the three senatorial districts of the state.
“Your Excellency, I have no doubt that now that the judiciary has reaffirmed the free mandate that Edo people gave to you on September 21, 2024. Your resolve to implement your revolutionary agenda is further renewed and your unwavering commitment to the Edo project.
“Despite the seeming distraction, you remained focused and in a hurry to deliver the dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of the people.
“With this judgment, which is a victory for the people and democracy, I am confident that Edo people will witness an increased pace of service that will usher in more development, growth, and progress in all sectors of the economy.
“As a team member in the Edo project, we shall continue ensure that your dreams, hope and aspiration for a better Edo state is achieved as you work tirelessly to bring the much needed change to our dear state.
She also called on the petitioners in the spirit of sportsmanship and love for the development of the state to join Governor Monday Okpebholo and his deputy in the task of repositioning the state to greater heights
