Security Situation Room Names Edo Police Commissioner “2025 Commissioner of the Year”

The Security Situation Room has formally issued a letter of commendation to the Commissioner of Police, Edo State Police Command-CP Monday Agbonika Fdc, in recognition of his exceptional leadership, strategic initiatives, and resolute efforts in combating cultism and criminality across the state.

In a letter dated the 8th of December ,2025 signed by the Convener, Douglas Ogbankwa Esq. , the Security Situation Room indicated that it has closely monitored the Commissioner’s performance with great satisfaction, noting his systemic, strategic, and solid approach to tackle cultism which has significantly strengthened security operations within Edo State.

The letter highlights the Commissioner’s bold and unprecedented tactics that have successfully curtailed the previously recurring weekly killings and other criminal activities associated with the hydra-headed challenge of cultism. His astuteness, professionalism, and commitment to restoring peace and order were especially commended.

In acknowledgment of his exemplary service, the Security Situation Room has declared him the Commissioner of Police of the Year 2025, applauding his contribution to creating a safer environment for residents of Edo State.

The organisation extended warm wishes to the Commissioner for a crime-free festive season, while assuring him of their highest regards and continuous support.
