The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and ex-Governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva, wanted.
In a public notice shared Monday on its official X handle, the anti-graft agency accused Sylva of alleged conspiracy and dishonest conversion of $14,859,257 funds reportedly invested by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) in Atlantic International Refinery and Petrochemical Limited for refinery construction.
According to the EFCC, the 61-year-old politician from Brass Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, is wanted pursuant to a November 6, 2025 warrant issued by the Lagos State High Court.
The agency urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact any of its offices nationwide or email info@efcc.gov.ng.
