Ikpea Senatorial Aspiration Excites Edo Central APC Leaders

The Aspiration of former Chairman of Esan South East Local Government, Hon Joseph Ikpea,  replace Governor Monday Okpebholo who  represented Edo Central senatorial district at the Senate has continued to excite leaders of the All Progressive Congress, APC in the district. 

Some of the leaders said beside having the wherewithal  his commitment to party spirit, loyalty and ethos have continued to inspire followership in his senatorial district and insisted that he remains the right choice for the party.  

The position of the leaders came as a support  group, under the aegis of  Ikpea Advocacy Movement, (I.A.M), said the grass root politician has outlined a clear vision aim to continue and sustained the achievements of Senator Monday Okpebholo at Edo Central. 

Coordinator of the group, Ehigiator Odion said Ikpea desire to represent the district at the senator would bring massive development to the zone.  

Odion noted, ” As part of his vision for the Edo Central Senatorial District when he eventually emerged Senator in 2025, Hon. Dr. Joseph Ikpea is set to effectively utilise his experience and expertise to speak and attract significant development projects and legislations to unlock the potential of Edo Central youth for prosperity and progress.

Ikpea promised to embark on the creation of laws that will move the Nigeria nation from consumption economy to a productive one adding that one of his  primary focus is to create jobs through development and expansion of the manufacturing sector of the economy.

“He is set to ensure that Edo Central people get a fair proportion of the opportunities of employment, infrastructure development and human capital capacity building, available to all citizens of the country.

“He is ready to work towards an accountable government where wastage is reduced to the barest minimum through robust oversight functions and to remain answerable to the good people of Edo central.

“We cannot continue to be submissive to the candidates we elected. Power must reside with the voters, that is the beauty of democracy.”

Hon. Joseph Ikpea is also to pursue law, orderliness, equity and justice within the laws of Nigeria. This is in addition to equitable distribution of resources and development among the 5 local government areas that make up Edo Central Senatorial District.

He is equally set to ensure that constituency projects are meaningful and actually executed. The good people of Edo Central Senatorial District deserve to have quality projects to justify the presence of their representative in the Senate. Hence, he said: “I will ensure that projects are started and finished with the urgency required.”
