Media Personality Adeniyi Bags Honorary Degree From Myles Leadership University

Nigerian born multiple award-winning international celebrity journalist and media consultant, Ifetayo Adeniyi has been conferred with the honorary degree of Doctor of Media and Communication by the Myles Leadership University, Accra Ghana.

Adeniyi, the Publisher of Megastar Magazine, his journalism career has been marked by significant achievements and contributions to the noble profession.

The conferment ceremony took place on March 20, in Ghana, marking the culmination of years of rigorous research and scholarly commitment.

The celebrity life style professional and President of Society of Digital Newspaper of Nigeria has continued to demonstrate exceptional leadership, service and commitment to the profession.

Dr Ifetayo Adeniyi, a graduate of London School of Journalism while expressing gratitude to the institution said he drew his inspiration to make positive impact in the society from a famous quote of former American President John.F. Kennedy, who stated, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” noted that it remains his driving force to add value to the society.

The elated recipient also thanked Dr Remi Olumuyiwa for his mentorship and guidance noted that Megastar Foundation had been able to provide toilet facility and classroom furniture to public schools in Nigeria to ensure a hygienic and cleaner environment.

He said beyond the provision of facility his foundation has equally embarked on entrepreneural training for youths to enable them to be self reliance and sustaining.

He said, “I’m inspired by the famous quote of John Kennedy who tasked the citizens to ask for what they can do for the country rather than what the country can do for them. I have always worked behind the scenes in making an impact towards a better society. I’m grateful for this honour by this prestigious Myles Leadership University for finding me worthy”.

Vice Chancellor Myles Leadership University, Dr. K. Ravi Acharya and Registrar, Dr. Nana Arnold said the recipient was chosen “ upon satisfactorily fulfilment of the prescribed requirements, the board of Trustee, Council and senate of Myles Leadership conferred on him the Doctor of Media and Communication.

He added that Dr Ifetayo’s achievement represents not only personal triumph but also underscores the growing academic collaboration between professionals in West Africa.

Also, the President of Africa International Chamber of Commerce and industry Dr Mark Darko on his opening remarks who emphasized on transformational leadership challenges in Africa and preferred solution.

He said “One of the challenges of Africa leaders has been that they export raw materials instead of processing them, they consumed without producing, they hardly think long time impact but focus more on short time of political gain “.

However, there have been few transformational leaders in Africa who are breaking barriers and making bold moves like Dangote with the largest refinery in Africa to stop Nigeria over reliance on imported refined crude oil products.

He urged the honorees to do more in the areas of investing in the next generation, agriculture economy and do more collaboration for a brighter future on the continent.

Among honorees are Dr. Chidinma Anne Ojeh a business development manager at Sovereign Finance limited; Dr Remi Olumuyiwa, Chairman First Tricon Limited; Amb. Dr. Princess Caroline Ene, Founder, Unique Global Peace Initiative of Nigeria and Dr Nick Wedge Wento, Chairman, Wento Group of Companies among other business leaders and Philanthropists.
