The Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of a popular brand in hospitality, Mr Felix Edosowan, owner of Prestige Hotel in Benin City Edo State has threatened to institute legal action against the Mrs Senorita Inegbedion over allegation linking him to the sudden disappearance of her husband, a chef with an oil and gas offshore platform.
Destiny Inegbedion, an offshore cook, went missing on August 6, 2024, while working on an oil platform operated by Sigmund Oil Field Limited.
Edosowan who was reacting to some online reports however absolved himself of any connection whatsoever with circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the chef, Mr Destiny Inegbedion noting that he had withdrawn his food supply contract to Sigmund Oil Field Limited two months before the incident occured and wondered why his should be linked or mentioned over the sudden disappearance of Destiny Inegbedion.
The hotelier asked the wife of the Destiny Inegbedion to render an unreserved apology for tarnishing his reputation for be ready to face legal action warning that he would not fold his hands and watch his hard earned reputation destroyed .
Giving his own side of the story over that incident and his involvement with Sigmund Oil Field said:, “I was given a stop-gap contract by Sigmund oil field to supply food stuff to the platform, I have not been to that platform before and I don’t know anybody there.
“All I do was just to send money from my bank to the camp boss to purchase the food items to the platform and that is all. It is just a stop-gap contract for six months. Those workers have been there for the past 16 to 17 years, they were employed by Agip.
“I didn’t employ anybody, mine was to supply food stuff and even up to this moment I have not been paid a dime for the job I did. So, I’m very innocent to the accusations. The incident they are talking about happened two months after I left the contract job.
“I was only trying to help her because I see her as my daughter but she is trying to tarnish my reputation by using my picture and my hotel name, Prestige. I just spoke to the father now and he is begging and even threatened that he is going disown the daughter. I’m completely innocent, the lady should tender an apology or i sue her for character assassination” . He explained.
Mrs Inegbedion in a petition is demanding a full police investigation to uncover what happened to her husband. She is seeking justice and answers regarding his mysterious disappearance.
