Addressing key issues faced by Nigerians in the diaspora, Oronsaye urged the Nigerian government particularly the President and National Assembly to give urgent attention to diaspora voting and electoral reforms.

He stressed that a credible electoral process is essential for electing capable leaders and strengthening democratic governance, noting that inclusion of diaspora voices through voting would further reinforce Nigeria’s democracy.

In his response, Ambassador Muoh praised the NYCN Ireland Chapter for its proactive efforts and pledged to relay their concerns to the appropriate authorities in Nigeria.

He acknowledged the vital role of the diaspora in influencing national policy and reiterated the Consulate’s commitment to supporting youth-led initiatives that promote civic engagement and inclusivity.

The NYCN Ireland Chapter concluded the visit by affirming its readiness to translate the discussions into concrete actions that will empower Nigerian youths and support the growth of democracy both at home and abroad.
