A group under the ages of Friends Of Monday Okpebholo (FOMO), has assured that the Sen. Monday Okpebholo led administration will made the people center point of his government.

Convener of the group, Eng. Praise Dada said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Edo governorship poll will adopt bottom-top approach in the implementation of his policies.

He pointed out that the decision to make the people the center point is borne out of the need to reconnect the people to governance of the state.

Dada who bemoaned the present disconnection between the people and the government of the state, said that the people will fully be involved in the governance when Okpebholo is voted into office.

“This is the only way to ensure transparency in addition to implementation of policies and programmes that aligns with their needs.

“The bottom-top approach will get the people fully involved on the decision of projects to be sited in their domain and thus claim ownership of such a project.

“Okpebholo’s government will put an end to the era where projects are dumped on the people without consultation.

“He is going to transform the rural areas where we have a large population of the people that have been disconnected from governance.

“This will also not only discourage rural-urban migration, it will bring about even development across the State,” he explained.

“What Edo need right now is compassionate leader that empathize with the people, a leader that under stand the plight of the ordinary Edo people. This is an opportunity as a people we must not missed.

The FOMO convener noted that being a homeboy and a rural brought up, Okpebholo had always identified with the people, as such, his decision to make the people the center point of his government.

He said development of the agricultural sector which is the mainstay of the rural dwellers will be prioritised.
