All appears set for the Edo State All Progressives Congress, APC to receive into their folds, Senator Neda Imasuen, representing Edo South at red chambers.
Imasuen, the chairman Senate Committee on Ethics, code of conduct and Public Petitions contested under the Labour Party and won in 2023.
Imasuen, it gathered had met and received the blessing and nod of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu paving the way for his smooth entry into the ruling APC.
The Edo born politician it is as gathered had also met and consulted widely with notable stakeholders in the APC in the state.
Prior to his planned decision to dump the Labour Party, political observers conversant with development in the LP said his entrance into the APC is long over due.
According to Osifo Iguodalo, ” The Labour Party we all laboured to build is now a shadow of itself and in complete tatters both in Edo and at the national level owing to unending crisis and litigation. We are excited that our hard working Senator had finally made up his mind to dump the party.
“The rumour is true. Neda was with us today to inform us that he was moving us into APC. We understand and we are ready to go with him,”
As the news spread like wild fire some members of the leadership of the LP in the state had besiege his Amagba residence in an attempt to stop his defection, a move it was gathered met brick wall.
