The Queen Consort of Warri Kingdom, Olori Atuwatse III, has re-echoed on the need for among stakeholders in the African Continent to deepen Leadership development that is capable of changing the continent narratives positively noting that Africa’s moment is now
Olori also praised the winners of the 2025 African Achievers Award which took place at the House of Lords, Palace of Westminster, London emphasized the importance of celebrating African excellence and soft power.
In her speech, Olori Atuwatse III stated that Africa’s moment is now, and it’s time to build and elevate the continent through excellence and full representation.
She noted the Elevate Africa initiative which she founded has been consistent in action and promoting leadership development, innovation, and narrative transformation.
“We understand that Africa moment is now, we are not waiting for tomorrow. Infact as many of you in this room should be part of that convening because building requires very excellence and full representation and I promised you that it won’t end in Bostwana.
“Elevate Africa is not just about the talk we are consistent in action all year round . For instance, our fellows that got inaugurated last year at the convening have been participating in intensive programme that deepens the Leadership development, amplifies their ability to develop catalytic development innovation and build their capacity for narrative transformation.
She further emphasized the importance of soft power, citing her own role as an advocate for soft power highlighting the ability to inspire through culture, values, and compelling narratives, rather than force or coercion.
She congratulated the awardees, urging them to continue their leadership and excellence, as Africa’s tomorrow depends on their continued efforts.
She praised the Africa Achievers award for celebrating excellence and demonstrating what is possible when Africans unite, co-create, and amplify their solutions.
Speaking on the impact of Elevate Africate, the Queen Consort noted that initiative is not just about talk, but consistent action, citing the initiative’s intensive programs for leadership development and innovation.
She expressed her confidence that the awardees would continue to build, collaborate, and re-imagine the continent together.
