The Edo Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa has been urged to advance youth inclusive initiative and community development in furtherance of his new office.
A cross section of the residents of Ebo Quarters, off Jehova Road, Obagie Nevbosa Community in Ikpoba Okha local government Area of Edo State disclosed in a statement issued on Monday May 12, 2025.
The Association of landlords and landladies of the above named community said they have been following the track record of the former House Rep member even long before he was elected as deputy governor.
The association in a statement jointly signed by Mrs. Flora Omoruyi, women leader, Ernest Chucks, Organising Secretary, and Emmanuel Akhidenor, Public Relations Officer, described him as community builder, party unifier and youth friendly deputy governor.
They maintained that many youths have been gainfully employed through his personal firm, Eagle Denco Company Limited while others have been empowered to be self employed across the country.
The people also expressed optimism that the deputy governor will do more subsequently.
We have heard and seen how he has taken a number of the youths off the streets.” He has also Personally donated transformer to several communities.
They also indicated that Idahosa has been an advocate for youths across board without any segregation or ethnic bias.
According to them, as a youth leader, “Hon. Idahosa publicly advocated for the rights and welfare of young people. His commitment and dedication to serving the people earned him the trust and support of the community, leading to his election as a member of the House of Representatives.
“He has been a strong advocate for youth empowerment, community development, education, and job creation.”
The residents said as a deputy governor of the state, “he should expand the youth empowerment programmes to many other places other than the regular beneficiaries.
“A situation where more youths will benefit from his initiatives and platforms should be created to re-orientate others.
They admonished the deputy governor not to be distracted by black mailers and other people who are only interested in their stomach infrastructures.
